SPS corals require a stable water quality and attention to tank parameters. Small polyp stony, or SPS, corals are corals with a relatively smaller polyp size typically complementing smaller corallites. Most of these corals are recognized by their very rigid calcium carbonate structure and minimal “fleshy” look.
Temperature: 77-80 F.
pH: 8.2-8.4.
Alkalinity: (7.8 -8.5 dKh)
Calcium: color (430 ppm), Growth (465 ppm)
Magnesium: color (1350 ppm), Growth (1400 ppm)
Nitrates: 5 – 15 ppm*
