Goniopora are a subspecies of Long Polyp Stony (LPS) Coral. Goniopora add a lot of movement in the aquarium. The polyps of a Goniopora Coral resemble a flower-like pattern, so Goniopora Coral are also referred to as Flowerpot Coral. Alveopora, a sister coral to the Goniopora, also sports this flower-like pattern.
