Mushrooms are an awesome beginner coral, they are easy to keep, grow quickly, and have some amazing colors. Mushrooms enjoy low light and low flow, but if done slowly, they are able to be acclimated to higher lighting. Mushrooms will typically close during travel and stress but should open up within several hours after shipping. They reproduce primarily by slowly moving and leaving babies in the spot that they were. They also can reproduce by splitting themselves into several pieces similar to an anemone. Mushrooms are also a great coral to get if you want to experiment with fragging, they are very easy to cut and have a very high survivability rate.
